My name is Sally, I am a qualified counsellor and I bring a wealth of experience in listening and caring roles, offering compassionate support to clients from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, I’ve worked extensively in pastoral roles within schools and the community, supporting both adults and children as they navigate a variety of challenges.

I currently provide emotional support to children, parents, and staff in a school setting. In addition, my volunteer work with a child bereavement charity has deepened my expertise in supporting individuals through sensitive and difficult times.

I’ve had the privilege of working with clients facing a wide range of issues, and I am dedicated to continuous professional development to ensure I can offer the best possible support tailored to their unique needs.

I provide counselling sessions for adults and children in Andover and Basingstoke. For added flexibility, I also offer online sessions to accommodate the needs of my clients.

Experience

Alongside my formal training, I have gained over 100 hours of counselling experience through a volunteer placement at a dedicated service. I also volunteer with Simon Says, a child bereavement charity, offering emotional support to children and families coping with loss. For over two years, I have provided emotional support in a school setting, creating a safe, nurturing space for children, parents, and staff to address their challenges. My years in caring and listening roles have equipped me with the essential qualities for effective counselling.

My previous experience as a nanny has greatly enhanced my skills and confidence in working with children. In addition to this, as both a parent and someone who has supported other parents, I have a deep understanding of the challenges that come with parenting.

I am particularly interested in supporting adults and children who face issues related to boarding school. I have completed specialized training in working with clients experiencing boarding school syndrome, and having attended boarding school myself, I can personally relate to the difficulties it can present.
